VTG is looking for a Configuration Management & RFC Specialist in Chantilly VA. This position provides critical Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support. The Configuration Management & RFC Specialist will serve as part of the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team, ensuring disciplined configuration control and change management processes across the Directorate.
Responsibilities:
Configuration Management & Change Control
- Establish, maintain, and enforce comprehensive configuration management (CM) processes for MS&O programs, systems, and facilities infrastructure·
- Manage configuration baselines, track configuration items throughout their lifecycle, and ensure all changes are properly documented, approved, and implemented per NRO standards
- Maintain CM databases and tools while ensuring configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits comply with established procedures
- Manage the end-to-end Request for Change (RFC) process, including receiving, logging, tracking, and coordinating all change requests through completion
- Facilitate change control board meetings and coordinate RFC reviews with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership
- Assess impacts of proposed changes on systems, schedules, costs, and operations, ensuring RFCs are properly evaluated for technical feasibility, risk, and compliance
- Document RFC decisions, approvals, and implementation status, and support integration of approved changes into configuration baselines
- Coordinate with Government and contractor teams to ensure CM compliance, support configuration control boards and technical review processes
- Coordinate with the Engineering Review Board (ERB} and other governance bodies
- Prepare and maintain configuration management plans, reports, and status update
Systems Engineering & Integration Support
- Support general systems engineering activities as directed
- Participate in program reviews, technical meetings, and working groups
- Contribute to MS&O governance processes and documentation
- Assist with preparation of briefings, presentations, and technical reports to support MS&O leadership and strategic objectives
Requirements:
- TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelors Degree, at a minimum; in lieu of a Bachelors Degree, one of the following will meet the education requirement:
o minimum 15 years facilitating diverse groups of people to include senior leaders OR
o minimum of 15 years experience in master scheduling OR
o minimum of 15 years in facility infrastructure and support programs OR
o 15 years in the Intelligence Community.
Must have 10 - 15 years experience executing systems engineering
