ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Staff Technical Product Manager who is passionate about Security, Identity, and building foundational products that will shape how millions of users, merchants, services, and AI agents securely interact with the VTEX platform.
As a PM in Identity & Shield, you will own the vision and execution of mission-critical initiatives that ensure trust, compliance, and secure autonomy across our ecosystem. You will help reinvent how access, authorization, and protection work in a world where AI agents increasingly act on behalf of humans and businesses.
This is one of the most strategic roles in the company: you will drive core platform capabilities used by every product area, while also evolving Shield — one of VTEX’s top-selling add-ons — to meet the needs of global enterprises and highly regulated industries.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Identity & Authorization (IdaaS)
- Define the long-term strategy for Identity at VTEX, aligned with the Re-Invent Security mission to make VTEX the most secure AI-Native commerce platform.
- Lead the redesign of VTEX’s User and API Key Management, delivering an agentic, automated, low-friction experience that reduces operational burden and mitigates credential misuse risks.
- Partner deeply with engineering leads to design guardrails, policies, and control layers that ensure AI agents operate only within safe, compliant, and auditable boundaries.
- Own the roadmap and evolution of VTEX Shield, expanding its value proposition for enterprise customers and regulated industries.
- Translate complex customer security needs (CISO-level requirements, compliance frameworks, SOC controls, auditability, etc.) into actionable product requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services to ensure Shield continues to grow ACV, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Benchmark leading enterprise security solutions to drive Shield toward a global, competitive positioning.
- Build platform-wide primitives that allow product teams to easily integrate identity, permissions, and agent governance patterns into their workflows.
VTEX Shield (Security Add-on)
- Own the roadmap and evolution of VTEX Shield, expanding its value proposition for enterprise customers and regulated industries.
- Translate complex customer security needs (CISO-level requirements, compliance frameworks, SOC controls, auditability, etc.) into actionable product requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services to ensure Shield continues to grow ACV, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Benchmark leading enterprise security solutions to drive Shield toward a global, competitive positioning.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have strong background as a Technical Product Manager working with Identity, Access Management, Security, or Platform Infrastructure.
- You understand modern identity architectures (OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM, WebAuthn, FIDO2, ABAC/RBAC, secrets management, federation, multi-tenant identity, API identity models).
- You have experience working with security-conscious customers — enterprise, global brands, or heavily regulated industries.
- You can connect deeply technical concepts (authorization policies, credential lifecycle, posture management, threat models) to clear business outcomes.
- You thrive in complex environments where multiple teams depend on your product to build safely and scale.
- You have excellent communication skills and can articulate strategy and trade-offs to engineers, leadership, CISOs, and customers.
- You bring strong execution discipline — able to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and manage a roadmap of foundational platform features.
- You’re comfortable with data: logs, monitoring, dashboards, risk indicators, and security metrics.
- Fluent in English.
