The client is:
Seeking an EHS Specialist to provide field-based Environmental, Health & Safety support for Canal Sections 1 and 2 in Waterford and Fort Edward, NY. This role will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support safe work execution, regulatory compliance, hazard identification, incident follow-up, and implementation of EHS programs at active job sites and maintenance facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day field EHS support to operations and maintenance teams
- Conduct site observations, job site visits, hazard assessments, and informal audits
- Support pre-job planning, job briefings, and higher-risk work activities
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/PESH standards and internal safety requirements
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and site-level reports
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, utilities, infrastructure, industrial, or field-based environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA/PESH safety principles
- Strong communication, hazard recognition, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in outdoor/field environments
- Valid New York State driver’s license
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
