We are seeking a motivated and dependable Independent Contractor Driver who MUST HAVE A CARGO VAN to join our dynamic delivery team! As a key player in our logistics network, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, managing deliveries efficiently, and providing outstanding customer interactions. Duties
- Safely operate a cargo van to pick up and deliver packages across designated routes with precision and professionalism
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting and moving bulky goods, ensuring secure placement for transit
- Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to maximize productivity
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring a friendly experience
- Use warehouse experience, forklift, pallet jack, or manual transmission skills as needed for loading or unloading cargo
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and route records to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving and customer service excellence
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Must have a cargo van that meets size requirements for transporting goods safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks comfortably and safely
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety protocols for manual transmission vehicles is desirable
- Strong communication skills with a professional attitude toward customer interactions
