What will you do?
Requirements Verification & Elaboration
- Review and analyze government‑provided requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and internal consistency.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders to validate intent, operational context, and priorities underlying documented requirements.
- Elaborate requirements through detailed scenarios, workflows, data needs, and business rules to support accurate COTS configuration.
- Identify ambiguities, gaps, or conflicts within requirements and work with technical subject matter experts to facilitate resolution with stakeholders.
- Translate validated requirements into COTS configuration specifications, user stories, and functional design artifacts.
- Guide stakeholders toward product‑supported solutions and best‑practice configurations.
- Develop validated business process workflows to support configuration and tailoring of the COTS platform.
- Serve as the integration liaison among the government customer, COTS vendor, and on-site technical delivery team.
- Assist in defining interfaces, data mappings, and interoperability with enterprise and legacy government systems.
- Assess and communicate the impact of COTS releases, patches, and upgrades on configured capabilities and customer requirements.
- Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and demonstrations.
- Ensure clarified and validated requirements are ready to support configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Support functional and user acceptance testing by verifying that configured behavior aligns with approved requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Support the software delivery lifecycle from discovery and configuration through deployment and sustainment.
- Proactively identify risks related to requirement interpretation, configuration constraints, or scope alignment, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Produce and maintain clear, well‑structured documentation describing requirement interpretations, configuration decisions, and functional behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Integrator, or similar role supporting U.S. Government programs.
- Strong understanding of systems integration concepts, interfaces, and data flows.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to shifting program phases and demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including direct engagement with government customers.
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD programs.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance required to begin employment.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile or Hybrid development environments.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing and integrating COTS systems.
- Knowledge of cloud environments and enterprise IT architectures.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Agile certifications, Security ).
