Job Summary The nuclear site OPI Lead is a leader in Vistra Energy’s fleet continuous improvement strategy. The site OPI Lead is the site single point of contact and subject matter expert in all aspects of Lean Thinking and other Operational Improvement strategies. The site OPI lead is a culture champion and ensures a healthy OPI culture across their site and consistency with the enterprise core values. OPI Leads core business include: Working closely with both site leadership teams, front line supervisors, and individual contributors to ensure successful implementation of OPI strategies, initiatives, and embed a healthy continuous improvement culture to drive an OPI mindset. Delivering and participating in capability building programs, e.g., OPI boot camp; assist in training and development of site leaders to create a culture of learning, engagement, and continuous improvement. Working closely with OR Fleet team and site leaders to develop annual OPI targets to ensure proper continuous improvement. Present/support preparation of OPI updates for SLT and other executive audiences. Lead Operational Learning & Continuous Improvement efforts to improve safety, reliability /costs; lead and facilitate ideation sessions targeting specific improvement areas. Coach initiative owners as they develop their initiatives and business plans and ensure consistent methodology in valuing and implementing OPI projects. Monitor site idea pipeline and work with site leaders and initiative owners (IO)s to ensure proper speed and initiative progression. Provide dedicated OPI support to high-priority, cross-cutting initiatives. Function as a positive change driver to site leaders, influencing them to lead OPI. Challenge the status quo and seek opportunities to improve business results; act as a problem-solving partner for the business as it seeks to identify new initiatives and generate greater impact, efficiently. Work with IOs and WSLs to ensure accuracy of reporting of program performance. Break down organizational barriers to collaboration to ensure maximum value delivered; develop trusting relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Job Description Key Accountabilities ·Proactively manage initiatives in the OPI database for the site and monitor KPIs for the site. ·Assist site leaders in identifying and delivering cross functional cost reduction initiatives, often leading improvement-focused teams. ·Monitor and communicate progress of KPIs associated with OPI. ·Assist site leadership in engagement of all employees to ensure sustained continuous improvement. Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements ·High school diploma/GED equivalent required ·BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent (preferred) ·Professional certifications in waste reduction desired such as Just Culture, Influencer, and/or Lean/Six Sigma, etc. ·Strong mentoring, training and coaching skills. ·Must be a superior communicator with small and large groups of varying seniority across multiple organizations. ·Experience in power generation preferred.
