What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift - Desk Security Officer position at VSS Security?
Job Overview
We are seeking 2 officers for the below shifts:
Saturday and Sunday 6pm - 6am with occasional additional nights. Can also be paired with work from another site.
Duties
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential security risks and implement appropriate measures.
- Oversee surveillance activities, including monitoring CCTV systems to prevent loss and ensure safety.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed to address security concerns or incidents on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and safety drills for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Must have an active Arizona Guard Card.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to provide proof.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in conflict management is a plus.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and loss prevention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Must be good with computers and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
