What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Rad Tech position at VSH Consulting?
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures focused on the cardiovascular system, including fluoroscopy, angiography, and cardiac catheterization.
- Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain specialized cardiovascular imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures such as angiograms, stent placements, and vascular studies.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and response during procedures, alerting the medical team to any concerns.
- Administer contrast media under the direction of a physician and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Document imaging results, patient information, and procedural details accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care.
- Educate patients about procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with regulatory requirements in the imaging suite.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with technological advances and best practices.
