SUMMARY:

The Engine Technician II is a beginning to mid-level A&P-certified technician responsible for independently performing external engine builds and assisting with internal engine repair. This role requires a solid foundation in engine maintenance practices and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, subject to standard inspection checks. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Independently build and install QEC (Quick Engine Change) components on engines, requiring only final inspection sign-off.
  • Assist in internal engine repairs, including module removal, installation, and disassembly under guidance.
  • Follow AMM, ESM, and OEM documentation for all maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Support training and guidance of junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:

You will be eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $2,000, subject to applicable taxes and payable within 2 pay periods following successful completion of your 90-day introductory period. This bonus is contingent upon your active employment status at the time of payment. If you voluntarily resign or are terminated for cause within [12 months] of your start date, you agree to repay the full amount of the sign-on bonus within 30 days of your separation date.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in aviation engine maintenance.
  • Proficient in reading and applying technical manuals.
  • Capable of working independently on external engine assembly.
  • Basic understanding of internal engine repair processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and safety awareness.

Team-oriented with solid communication and documentation skills.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals.

 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and/or general knowledge in the CFM56, LEAP 1A/1B, GE CF34 and CF6-80C series engines as well as PW GTF Series is a plus.

 

OTHER

  • This is a FAA/DOT regulated safety sensitive position.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
