This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13357140 Req #3996 Independence, KS 67301, USA ::: {role="separator"} ::: ## Job Description Posted Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 12:00 AM **SUMMARY:**The Claims Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team by organizing and completing the required warranty and standard claims process and to ensure accuracy in order to receive payment from the OEM for services provided,based on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufactures instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Filing claims into the companys system and any other required systems.
- Working closely with the sales team, claims/warranty team, customers and the OEM to ensure all claim information is correct and making changes when necessary.
- Trouble shooting warranty and claims issue with the team and the
- Reporting monthly claim and quarterly forecasted value total
- Billing the OEM within the ERP system for VSE credits due
- Consistent learning and understanding of changes made to Service
- Trains, monitors and provides guidance to claims/warranty team regarding Service bulletins, technical data and process changes. ```{=html}

- Associates degree or comparable Technical Sales and/or Customer
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Team oriented, resourceful and fast learning

- PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**
- Proficient in MS Office suite, strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerBI or other BI tool
- Knowledge of Component Control Quantum or equivalent.
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail when working with internal and customer data
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to communicate technical and customer specific information properly and clearly
- Proven record of reliability and consistent attendance
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize (INCLUDE LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY CLEARANCE, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.)**:**
