Role Description The Lead Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX. This position is responsible for overseeing and performing service, maintenance, and repair work on fire alarm systems, security systems, and related life safety systems. The Lead Service Technician coordinates daily field service activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and onsite supervision of technicians to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with codes and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, conducting inspections and tests, documenting findings, and preparing clear service reports. The role interacts regularly with customers to explain work performed, provide recommendations, and support high levels of client satisfaction, while promoting safe work practices and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including hands-on experience with fire protection, security, or life safety systems.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working at customer sites, coordinating service visits, and managing onsite tasks.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance capabilities, such as performing routine inspections, preventive service, and system testing.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with clients, manage expectations, and represent the company professionally.
- Relevant experience in fire alarm systems, low voltage, or security systems, including knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA), is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lead and mentor technicians, prioritize workloads, and maintain accurate documentation and service records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications, trade school training, or licensure in fire protection or electrical fields are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to meet physical demands of field work, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
