Experienced Marine Technician
VS Marine – Authorized Malibu, Axis & Bennington Dealer
Atascadero, CA
VS Marine is seeking an Experienced Marine Technician to join our growing service team. We are an authorized dealer for Malibu, Axis, and Bennington and service a wide range of engines and systems including Yamaha, Mercury, and Honda.
This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, diagnostics, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain boats and marine systems
- Perform engine service and diagnostics on Yamaha, Mercury, and Honda motors
- Rigging, electrical troubleshooting, and system installations
- Routine maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs
- Pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and boat commissioning
- Accurately document labor and parts used
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and management
Qualifications
- Marine technician experience required (dealership experience preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Yamaha, Mercury, and/or Honda engines preferred
- Familiarity with Malibu, Axis, and Bennington boats a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Factory certifications a plus (or willingness to obtain)
