CGI Artist, Raymond Meier Studio
Raymond Meier Studio and VS Company are looking for a 3D artist specializing in high-end product visualization, simulation, and look development for luxury brands. The role requires a candidate with strong artistic direction combined with deep technical skills to deliver photorealistic imagery at a production scale.
Position: SENIOR 3D GENERALIST / HOUDINI OCTANE / REDSHIFT
CGI Artist will work closely with photographer Raymond Meier, creative directors, and 3D designers to ideate and execute campaigns. He or she will be responsible for and proficient in understanding every aspect of the 3D pipeline, including modelling, animation/simulation, texturing/shading, lighting, rendering, and compositing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end CGI production for luxury advertising campaigns and product launches
- Design and execute photorealistic lighting, shading, and material systems (diamonds, metals, cosmetics, glass)
- Build simulation pipelines in Houdini (Vellum, FLIP, RBD, Pyro)
- Develop the look of shots and assets in Octane or Redshift, depending on the task
- Deliver carefully controlled and intelligent outputs to be later used in compositing (AOV ACES familiarity)
- Balance speed and quality under tight deadlines
- Research new techniques and technologies, such as AI, to maximize efficiency
Technical Requirements:
Deep knowledge of Houdini, Octane, Redshift, Fusion (background in After Effects / Nuke also acceptable), ACES EXR pipelines
Specialization Areas:
Luxury lighting, Photorealistic texturing / shading PBR, Simulation art direction, Pipeline optimization
Qualifications Attributes:
- Sophisticated communicator and highly collaborative, with at least five years of experience.
- Strong partner to the creative team
- Comfortable presenting work to senior client stakeholders.
- Meticulous eye for detail.
- Knowledge of contemporary and historical fashion, beauty, luxury brands, campaigns, and packaging and cultural influences.
- Strong knowledge of relevant image creators working in photography, video and art.
- Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects with speed and ease.
