We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely delivery of packages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safe handling of goods. This role requires a professional with experience in route driving, warehouse operations, and commercial driving, including the operation of box trucks and forklifts. The Courier will play a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for prompt and courteous service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and preparing packages for delivery.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or route driving preferred.
- Experience operating a box truck, forklift, or pallet jack is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
