SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Controller, this position depends heavily on strong general ledger accounting skills and will perform financial accounting tasks for multiple companies and assist the Business Office and Government Contracts with thorough, accurate and honest input of financial data in related documents and records. Responsibilities include excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines, good verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to assist with audits and seek specialized assistance as necessary to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a compliant and satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· General ledger accounting and account reconciliation
· Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit cards monthly
· Process payroll for subsidiary companies semi monthly
· Manage and lead the accounts payable process
· Perform monthly contract billing and commercial invoicing
· Communicate monthly reporting and trial balance review to Controller and President/CFOO
· Support Controller, Government Contracts and Business Office with other duties as assigned.
· Support Human Resources in ERP management of personnel.
· Prepare and maintain accurate accounting and budget records and ensure proper filing
· Daily monitoring of key data of financials transactions
· Strong active listening and verbal communication skills
· Multitasking is essential, must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines
· Electronically updating financial statements and budgets
· Liaison between VRC Metal Systems and its subsidiaries and appropriate outside agencies
· Excellent prioritizing and organizational skills with high attention to accuracy
· Ensure closeout procedures are completed on time and accurately
· Maintain confidentiality
· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws and regulations

SALARY RANGE:
· $60,000 - $80,000
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· May supervise others as Company continues its rapid growth
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
· 3 years of Financial Accounting (required)
· 1 years of government contract or grant experience (preferred)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to read documents in English such as policy, procedure, and financial documents
· Ability to speak effectively in English on the phone and in person
· Strong proof-reading skills for grammar and punctuation
· Write routine reports, correspondence, business letters, summaries, and reports in English using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style
MATH SKILLS
· Proficient: basic math skills with high attention to detail
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Proficient use of Accounting/Bookkeeping Software (required)
· Experience with Costpoint (highly preferred)
· Proficient in Excel at an advanced level (required)
· Skilled in electronic communication including email, web searching, and data organization (required)
· Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when inputting data in electronic form (required)
REASONING ABILITY:
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Read and interpret policy and procedure
