Tax Operations Manager

Play a Key Role in Strengthening Our Tax Operations

Vrakas CPAs Advisors is seeking a Tax Operations Manager to join our Brookfield office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who enjoys improving processes, enhancing workflows, and supporting teams in delivering high-quality work. You’ll partner closely with tax leadership to strengthen how our tax department operates, driving efficiency, consistency, and a strong client service experience. Responsibilities

Operational Coordination

• Support day-to-day operations of the tax department, including workflow optimization, resource planning, and process support
• Assist in improving efficiency and productivity while maintaining high service standards
• Partner with tax leadership to support departmental goals and priorities
• Provide regular updates on workflow status, production metrics, and capacity
• Assist with billing support and operational coordination
• Help manage vendor relationships, including software contracts and renewals

Process & Workflow Management

• Identify inefficiencies in tax processes and recommend practical improvements
• Help streamline workflows to ensure timely completion and adherence to filing deadlines
• Support consistency and quality across teams and offices
• Maintain and monitor workflow tracking tools, deadlines, and deliverables

Technology & Systems Support

• Develop working knowledge of tax software and workflow tools
• Assist in evaluating and optimizing systems and processes
• Support the implementation and integration of new tools and technologies
• Contribute to process improvements through automation and innovation

Training & Support

• Assist in coordinating training plans for staff
• Help maintain a centralized tax training library and resources
• Support annual tax update training and ongoing learning initiatives

Compliance & Risk Awareness

• Support adherence to tax regulations and internal quality standards
• Assist in identifying operational risks and escalating concerns as needed
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in professional services, operations, project coordination, or a client-focused environment
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, HR, or related field
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing workflows, deadlines, and competing priorities
• Ability to collaborate with and support cross-functional teams and leadership
• Experience with workflow tools, operational systems, or project tracking systems preferred
• Process improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
