What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content & Creative Intern position at VPP Texas?
VPP Texas — Content Team (Hybrid, Houston TX)
We're a backup power company based in Houston, Texas but expanding to multiple states around the country.
We need someone who loves making content, is passionate about brand building, and who loves talking with and hanging out with customers. You'll create for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and whatever comes next. Organic and paid. We have a full editing team for the bigger projects, but you still need to be able to cut things together on your own when the timeline is tight. We'll also fly you out to our locations in other states as we expand.
We shoot content with both iPhone and professional equipment. Also both at customer homes and in studios! That means showing up on filming days ready to see adapt to the situation whether it's professional gear or a simple iPhone setup. You'll be producing both short-form and long-form video, and editing quick turnarounds when needed.
This role is for someone who already makes content. You shoot and edit on your phone for fun. You're familiar with DSLRs or videography equipment. You know what's trending before anyone tells you. You've got opinions about lighting and pacing and thumbnails.
What you need:
- You can shoot and light a scene with real equipment
- You edit fast in CapCut. Skills in Premiere and DaVinci are a too
- You know what performs on short-form and long-form platforms and why
- You're in or near Houston
