Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:The Computer Operations Technician I will provide timely and accurate technology support services through effective network monitoring, systems monitoring, data center administration, computing equipment operations, enterprise printing, and by providing quality first level customer support to walk up and telephone inquiries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PC workstation operation, principles and desktop functions in a centralized client/server environment and working knowledge of UNIX client/server environments.
- Working knowledge of network operations and monitoring in a data network communications environment.
- Working knowledge of computing equipment and peripherals to include laser printing systems, tape backup systems, SANs, and communication systems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in order to explain computer related situations, resolutions, and issues to staff and customers.
- Ability to interact effectively with IT customers and staff. Ability to multitask.
