VP Auto Parts is looking for a reliable, experienced Automotive Parts Dismantler to join our used auto and truck parts operation in Catskill, NY.
This position involves dismantling vehicles and safely removing both small automotive parts and major components, including engines, transmissions, differentials, doors, body panels, suspension components, interior parts, electronics, and other reusable parts for inventory and resale.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Position: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Dismantle cars, trucks, and other vehicles
- Remove engines, transmissions, and other large drivetrain components
- Remove smaller mechanical, electrical, interior, and body parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, impact guns, lifts, jacks, and other shop equipment safely
- Identify parts and keep removed parts organized
- Avoid unnecessary damage to parts during removal
- Help move vehicles, engines, transmissions, and inventory around the yard/shop
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow shop and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with other yard or automotive duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Automotive dismantling, mechanic, auto repair, salvage yard, or related experience preferred
- Must be comfortable removing engines and transmissions
- Good knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components
- Comfortable using automotive and power tools
- Must be able to lift and handle heavy automotive parts
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Must show up consistently and on time
- Ability to work outdoors and in a shop/yard environment
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, works efficiently, and knows their way around vehicles. Experience in an auto salvage yard or used-parts operation is a strong plus.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $25/hour
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
