What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estate Planning Attorney position at Voyant Legal?
About the Firm
Join a fast-growing, high-energy law firm where culture and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive, highly motivated team environment dedicated to serving our amazing clients across the Wasatch Front. If you are looking for a firm that values your expertise and offers a supportive, non-traditional law office atmosphere, you’ve found it.
The Role
We are seeking a talented and compassionate Attorney to lead our clients through the most important planning of their lives. In this role, you aren’t just "drafting documents"—you are a Legacy Designer. You will serve as a primary educator and consultant, helping families protect what matters most.
While based in our Farmington headquarters, this role offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to support our clients across Davis, Weber, Summit, and Salt Lake Counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultation & Education: Conduct empathetic, in-depth consultations to educate clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their unique family and financial situations.
- Plan Design: Architect comprehensive estate plans that protect legacies and provide peace of mind.
- Execution & Review: Lead detailed review and signing meetings to ensure clients fully understand their plan before execution.
- Practice Diversification: Manage and assist with related legal matters including Probate, Trust Administration, and Guardianships.
- Regional Support: Maintain a flexible presence across our Northern Utah office locations to meet client demand and collaborate with the broader team.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD): Licensed and in good standing with the Utah State Bar.
- Experience: Previous experience in Estate Planning or Probate is preferred, but a high "EQ" (Emotional Intelligence) and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel between our regional offices as needed.
- Values: A collaborative spirit, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to serve others.
Culture & Expectations
We are a high-performance team that thrives on a "Work Hard, Play Hard" mentality. Our environment is fast-paced, and we rely on every team member to pull their weight. We hire adults and treat them as such—which means you will not be micromanaged. We provide the tools and the team, but you must have the initiative to own your caseload and drive results.
A Note on Attitude: We are fiercely protective of our culture. We are looking for positive, solution-oriented professionals only. If you bring high energy, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine love for helping people, you will fit right in.
