The Director/Senior Director of Quality & Data Integrity, ensures the integrity, consistency, and accessibility of quality data across the enterprise while leading cross-functional response to crises and strategic initiatives that support agility, simplification, and continuous improvement. The Director/Senior Director of Quality & Data Integrity, ensures the integrity, consistency, and accessibility of quality data across the enterprise while leading cross-functional response to crises and strategic initiatives that support agility, simplification, and continuous improvement. This role is a key driver of digital quality tool integration, cross-functional problem-solving, and enterprise-wide readiness for change and innovation.
What You Will Do
- Own the enterprise strategy and governance for data integrity across quality systems and manufacturing records. Ensure harmonized reporting, terminology, and interpretation of quality data (e.g., monthly reporting, deviations, complaints, OOS, audit findings). Standardize dashboards, KPIs, and metrics across the network to support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead implementation and continuous improvement in partnership with IT of network-wide quality systems such as QT9, Fix, LIMS, Valdata. Develop and manage a multi-year roadmap for digital quality tool upgrades, integrations, and scalability. Ensure systems are validated and aligned with cGMP and data integrity expectations.
- Serve as the corporate lead for high-risk quality crises requiring cross-functional escalation, coordination, and resolution. Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3) to prevent recurrence. Provide executive updates, containment strategies, and mitigation plans for regulatory or customer-related incidents.
- Lead or co-lead enterprise initiatives focused on simplification, lean implementation, and speed-to-market (“Fast Beauty”). Represent the Quality function in key transformation initiatives and technology evaluations. Identify opportunities for process automation and system integration across functions.
- Manage the corporate New Product Stability Program in partnership with R&D, Regulatory, and Plant Quality teams. Optimize and standardize the network for simplification, agility, and compliance. Ensure timely design, execution, and reporting of stability studies to support launches, transfers, and regulatory submissions.
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
- % of digital tool adoption and utilization across sites
- Response time and resolution effectiveness for quality crises
- % of stability studies executed on-time and compliant
- Reduction in manual quality reporting or system redundancies
- On-time execution of enterprise quality improvement projects
- Travel up to 30% to plants, corporate partners, and external providers.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline; advanced degree (Required)
- 10 years in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or Regulatory Compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment (OTC, cosmetics, pharma, or personal care). (Required)
- 10 years proven leadership in digital QMS platforms, data analytics, and technology adoption (Required)
- 10 years demonstrated ability to manage crisis events with composure, urgency, and strategic thinking. (Required)
- 10 years cross-functional collaboration and project management skills. (Required)
- 10 years in a multi-site or contract manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
- 10 years familiarity with QMS tools (QT9, ETQ, LIMS, Valdata, etc.) and digital validation practices. (Preferred)
- 10 years background in Lean Six Sigma or structured continuous improvement frameworks (Preferred)
- Data Integrity & Analytics: Ability to define, standardize, and govern quality data systems and reporting. (High proficiency)
- Digital Quality Systems: Proven knowledge of QMS platforms, validation, and digital integration. (High proficiency)
- Crisis Management: Ability to lead escalated incidents, resolve issues quickly, and communicate effectively with executives. (High proficiency)
- Problem Solving: Skilled in structured RCA techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone, A3) to drive preventive actions. (High proficiency)
- Project & Transformation Leadership: Ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives, implement lean frameworks, and drive simplification. (High proficiency)
