We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Voyageur Crew Member to join the Voyageur team. As a Crew Member, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers serving as the primary interaction for all of our customers as well as crafting delicious beverages and ice creams and serving Next-Level Donuts. You will be responsible for crafting a variety of coffees and teas, ensuring that each beverage meets our established standards of excellence. Your passion for coffee preparation, knowledge of equipment, and ability to engage with customers will set you and Voyageur Donuts up for success.
In this position, you will also foster a positive team environment, collaborating with colleagues to maintain efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced setting. Your interactions with patrons will not only involve taking orders, but also providing recommendations and educating them about our offerings. To keep Voyageur Donuts running shipshape, you will be tasked with adhering to State food safety standards. This will include: keeping your work area clean and organized (even amidst a rush), ensuring customer areas and bathrooms are kept clean, and food handling standards are upheld.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Effectively manage cash handling, including processing payments and maintaining accurate cash drawer amounts.
- Educate customers on our menu offerings, suggesting pairings and customizing orders based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Train and mentor new staff on operational procedures, beverage preparation techniques, and customer service standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers amicably.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
