Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a Shop Hand to support our team with a wide range of tasks related to fabrication, manufacturing, and general warehouse operations. This entry-level role offers opportunities for advancement for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both inside and outside the shop
Perform general grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weed control on all company properties
Assist with equipment maintenance, including cleaning, washing, and basic servicing
Prepare equipment and tools for use, including cleaning, painting, and loading
Safely operate small tools, power tools, and lawn equipment in accordance with company policies and safety procedures
Develop familiarity with methods, practices, tools, materials, and safety procedures necessary to complete assigned tasks
Work cooperatively with team members and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
High School Diploma Or Equivalent (preferred, But Not Required)
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks involving standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and bending in awkward positions for extended periods
Basic welding knowledge is a plus, but not required
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
