IT Support Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic technology team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and support our staff in resolving technical issues efficiently. Reporting directly to the IT Director, you will play a vital role in maintaining our company's technological environment and ensuring user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users across hardware, software, and network issues
- Respond promptly to support requests via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely resolution
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure and security protocols
- Document support activities, issues, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement system upgrades and updates
- Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials to enhance staff technical proficiency
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support or a related role
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, and common software applications
- Familiarity with network concepts, including LAN, WAN, and VPN
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests effectively
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
