Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and revenue cycle management to maximize profitability
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance on human resources practices, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality and security of all medical records and patient information
- Coordinate with dental professionals to uphold high standards of clinical care, including managing medical administrative support and ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards
- Implement clinic policies aligned with healthcare management best practices and JCAHO accreditation requirements
- Monitor utilization management and managed care processes to optimize patient care delivery and insurance reimbursements
- Lead efforts in quality assurance, safety protocols, acute care procedures, and infection control standards within the dental setting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office management in OS with a strong background in clinic operations
- Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing clinical teams or administrative staff in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dentrix, Epic, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with hospital or veterinary EMR systems is a plus
- Solid understanding of fiscal management principles including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle processes
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, dental terminology, medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements
- Experience with dental clinic operations or medical administrative support roles within acute care or hospital settings is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster teamwork and ensure high-quality patient care
