Duties
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their wedding vision, preferences, and budget constraints
- Coordinate with vendors such as caterers, decorators, photographers, and entertainment providers to ensure timely delivery of services
- Manage all logistical aspects of wedding events, including scheduling rehearsals, setup, and breakdown
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best terms and value for clients
- Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth flow of activities and addressing any issues promptly
- Implement effective marketing strategies to promote wedding packages and upsell additional services
- Maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and contracts to ensure clarity and organization throughout the planning process
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning, hospitality, or banquet management; hotel or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable vendor agreements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with clients and vendors
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management abilities
- Knowledge of event marketing techniques and experience in upselling services effectively
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and contract management for events
- Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus; hotel or fundraising experience is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for events
