Duties
- Assist in coordinating wedding details from initial planning stages through event day, including venue setup, vendor communication, and timeline management
- Support negotiations with vendors and venues to secure favorable terms and services
- Contribute to marketing efforts by promoting wedding packages and upselling additional services such as catering, décor, or entertainment
- Help manage event budgets and ensure all expenses stay within agreed parameters
- Oversee guest services to ensure a positive experience for clients and their guests
- Coordinate with catering, banquet, hotel, and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service delivery during events
- Assist in contract management with vendors and clients, ensuring all agreements are clear and adhered to
- Support event marketing initiatives through social media promotion and client outreach
- Maintain organized records of contracts, vendor contacts, and event details for efficient planning and execution
Experience
- Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or related fields such as banquet management, catering, or hotel operations is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation skills with vendors and clients to optimize event outcomes
- Experience in marketing or upselling services to enhance client packages
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently under tight deadlines during busy event seasons
- Familiarity with event management software or tools is a plus
- Prior experience in fundraising or guest services within hospitality settings will be considered advantageous
- Knowledge of contracts, budgeting, and organizational skills necessary for coordinating multiple aspects of wedding events effectively
