Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Control access points by verifying identities, performing background checks, and managing entry using access control systems.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences for review and follow-up.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary to support security operations or emergency situations.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents while maintaining compliance with security regulations.
Skills
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV cameras and monitoring multiple screens simultaneously.
- Background in military or law enforcement enhances understanding of security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety measures.
- Proficient in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity for legal and safety purposes.
- Skilled in conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management to handle tense situations professionally.
- Knowledge of security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms handling (where permitted), and security alarms.
- Capable of performing physical security tasks including patrolling, heavy lifting, and manual handling with adherence to safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to assist visitors courteously while enforcing security policies effectively.
