Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will lead industrial construction projects from planning through completion. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate multiple trades and maintain project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Oversee daily project operations and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues
- Review and approve project documents, drawings, and specifications
- Monitor progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders
- Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication across teams
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and contractual obligations
Qualifications Required:
- 5 years of experience in industrial construction project management
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple trades
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in pulp and paper industry projects
- Familiarity with cost control systems and estimating software
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
- Knowledge of lean construction principles
