The Business Development Manager (BDM) is the driving force of our services company’s success. The primary goal of the BDM is to build lasting relationships, execute sales initiatives, and deliver cost-effective and proven trenchless infrastructure solutions in a given region. Ideally BDMs will develop strong contractor relationships, identify and recruit strategic business partners, and present the company’s suite of products, services, and partners to engineering firms and municipalities.
BDMs are typically responsible for seeing approved projects through to the initial construction stage.
Candidate must live in Washington D.C.

Key Responsibilities
- Relationship management with contractors, municipalities, and consulting engineers
- Conducting high level meetings to present company mission and offerings to decision makers
- Obtain product approvals through presentations and supporting submittal development
- Track bids, projects, and private work
- Prepare data for operations teams (writing reports and extracting basic info from plans/specs)
- Negotiation of contracts, proposals, and terms
- Strategically manage through feedback from customers and market
- Self-motivated
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to understand basic technical aspects of construction
- Prepared for frequent travel
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of sales experience (preferably in related field)
