About the Role
We are looking for a Product Development Specialist – Design & Engineering to join our R&D team and contribute to the creation of innovative aquatic structures and products from concept to launch.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and engineering—combining creativity with technical expertise to bring ideas to life. Whether your background is in industrial design or mechanical engineering, you’ll play a key role in shaping new products and improving existing ones.
What You’ll Do
· Contribute to all stages of product development: ideation, design, engineering, prototyping, and launch
· Transform concepts into functional, manufacturable aquatic products and structures
· Participate in brainstorming sessions and research to generate innovative ideas
· Develop 3D models, assemblies, and technical documentation
· Build and test prototypes to validate design and performance
· Ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, operations)
· Stay informed on market trends, materials, and manufacturing processes
· Support product presentations and help communicate design intent
What You Bring
· Background in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or a related field
· Strong interest in product development (both creative and technical aspects)
· Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
· Ability to communicate ideas through sketches, models, or prototypes
· Hands-on mindset with problem-solving and prototyping skills
· Understanding of manufacturing processes (metals, plastics, composites, etc.)
· Collaborative and adaptable approach in a multidisciplinary team
· Bilingualism in French and English (Intermediate level of English is required)
Nice to Have
· Experience with full product development cycles (concept to production)
· Familiarity with design standards and regulations (ASTM, CSA, etc.)
· Experience with rendering or visual communication tools (Adobe Suite or similar)
· Interest or experience in aquatic environments, outdoor structures, or recreational products
