What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operation Support position at Vorteq Coil Finishers LLC?
Overview
Vorteq's Operations Support staff is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant - assisting with and assigned to work in various areas of the plant, including; coating lines, slitting, material handling, and packaging. We have positions available on our 2nd and 3rd shift teams.

Responsibilities
- Retrieves and transport bare coils to paint line safely without damaging material or equipment
- Inspects coils and identifies and reports any defects
- Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory
- Reads and interprets production schedule
- Prepare finished coils for shipment by identifying location to pull, trim, package and band according to customer specs using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping material
- Comply with all safety rules and guidelines
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience operating material handling equipment preferred
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbs
- Function successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Contribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with others
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
- Must have VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation
- Bilingual preferred
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred, not required
