We are seeking a dynamic Product Support Specialist known to us as a Sales Engineer to join our team at Voortman USA LLC. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to drive product demonstrations, engage with customers, and support pre-sales activities. This position is crucial in helping us maintain our leadership in the market while delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Manage Customer Requests: Handle incoming requests via phone, email, and Web Shop with a focus on accuracy.
Technical Verification: Verify customer information and conduct parts research using SAP, equipment PDFs, JT files, and email correspondence with pictures to ensure correct orders.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to identify suitable substitute components when original parts are unavailable
Quote Creation: Validate information and create quotes to share with customers.
Order Processing: Collect purchase orders (POs) and communicate order details and shipping expectations to customers. Update internal systems (MRP/CRM/SAP) with accurate lead times.
Feedback Reporting: Report suggestions, customer feedback, and operational issues to the Commercial Team Lead.
Upselling and Cross-Selling: Proactively upsell and cross-sell relevant products based on customer interests and buying behavior.
Part Details Maintenance: Maintain and update accurate part details, including part numbers, descriptions, specifications, and vendor information.
Pricing Maintenance: Update pricing and part details such as part numbers and descriptions.
Requirements
Candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in industrial equipment, machinery, manufacturing or technical parts sales/ support
You understand how to read equipment manuals, parts identifications, ability to interpret diagrams, manuals, PDFs, understanding of industry components.
Familiarity with CNC and mechanical machinery
Technical, mechanical, electrical aptitude is a plus
MRP/CRM/SAP knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and internal teams
Computer proficiency required including at least one year of Microsoft Office Suite experience
Candidates with backgrounds in Parts Coordination, Inside Sales Engineering, Parts Sales, Product Support, Mechanical Engineering, or Field Service are strongly encouraged to apply.
