Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests warmly, providing excellent customer service that enhances their overall experience.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders swiftly and accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, recognizing signs of intoxication and intervening appropriately to promote safety.
- Restock bar supplies regularly, including garnishes, glassware, liquor bottles, and mixers to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during events like catering or banquets to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.
- Uphold all health and safety standards related to food safety, alcohol service, and general sanitation practices in the hospitality industry.
- Assist in training new team members on proper serving techniques, POS operation, and customer service expectations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while managing tabs for multiple guests in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or large events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; previous cashiering or cash handling experience is essential.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and special event days such as banquets or catering functions.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations related to sales transactions.
- Experience working in hospitality environments like nightclubs, restaurants, or banquet halls is preferred.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting is a plus for creating signature drinks or specialty cocktails.
