What You Will Do
Partner with leaders across functions and manufacturing to frame problems, prioritize value streams, and set measurable outcomes tied to customer value and finance-validated assumptions.
- Go to Gemba regularly: observe work, surface abnormalities, and coach where the work happens.
- Translate strategy into daily behavior: collaborate to design and deploy standard work, visual management, KPI boards, and leader routines.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events: value stream mapping, rapid improvement pilots and structured problem solving; verify countermeasures and formalize sustainment with owners.
- Coach leaders and teams to develop capability; enable others to lead improvements via train-the---trainer and coaching models.
- Establish and maintain weekly KPI cadence; use data to escalate risks, validate outcomes, and inform decisions with Finance partners.
- Capture, formalize and scale practical playbooks and reusable mechanisms across functions and sites.
- Secure sponsorship, baseline data and clear ownership before launching interventions; avoid unsupported one-offs-.
- Assist in developing the organizational Strategic and Policy Deployment Plans, ensuring the effective deployment of these plans to the point of impact utilizing the appropriate Vontier Business System tools to drive the achievement of the organization's goals.
- Establish and manage a disciplined Kaizen funnel and roadmap that ensures we consistently prioritize and execute the improvement initiatives that most directly advance our organizational objectives.
- 5 years of experience in roles involving hands-on process ownership or team leadership, including but not limited to Operations Manager, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer, Scrum Master, Project Management Lead, or Product Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Lean/Six Sigma certification or advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated business acumen with a strong understanding of financial principles to drive cost-effective and value-driven outcomes.
- Proven application of Lean thinking in daily work with measurable results such as improved cycle time, reduced errors/rework, increased throughput, and optimized capacity.
- Practical experience with Lean tools including standard work, daily management, value stream mapping, and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management skills, and metric literacy to align teams and drive continuous improvement.
