Position: Assembly Foreman
Location: Denver, Colorado
Reports To: Head of Production
Department: Production
As an Assembly Foreman, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the assembly production floor, ensuring precision, efficiency, and top-tier craftsmanship. Your primary functions will include leading the charge on custom cabinetry assembly, setting and maintaining benchmarks and pace, supervising labor, and managing quality control throughout the process. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Production, Shop Foreman, Materials & Delivery Coordinator, and Project Managers to ensure seamless workflow and timely project completion. With proven expertise in complex, custom cabinetry and production efficiency, you’ll play a critical role in delivering the high-quality, on time work the rest of our team expects and relies on.

What You’ll Do:
Cabinetry Fabrication and Assembly

- Engage in, and oversee custom cabinetry fabrication and assembly to ensure accurate and consistent work order execution.
- Interpret and review Work Order instructions
- Troubleshoot complex engineering and hardware assemblies
- Maintain and enforce tool maintenance schedules to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Monitor and keep up to date all work order cards intended for assembly production
- Engage in, and oversee custom cabinetry fabrication and assembly to ensure accurate and consistent work order execution.
Establish Assembly Benchmarks and Pace

- Set daily assembly production goals aligned with project timelines and company standards.
- Monitor workflow and work with the Head of Production to adjust labor to meet efficiency targets.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and streamline operations.
- Analyze assembly production data to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Assembly Quality Control

- Conduct regular inspections of assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and specification standards.
- Develop and enforce quality control protocols at each stage of assembly production.
- Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to address part quality issues and workflow proactively.
- Conduct regular inspections of assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and specification standards.
Assembly Labor Supervision

- Direct and support assembly bench labor with clear expectations and coaching.
- Assign tasks and manage labor distribution to maintain a balanced workflow.
- Train new shop labor in shop safety procedures, machine operation, and Vonmod quality control standards.
- Provide reports to Head of Production on the proficiency, achievements, training gaps, and/or issues with assembly bench labor
- Direct and support assembly bench labor with clear expectations and coaching.
Workflow & Efficiency Development

- Work with the Head of Production to develop Assembly standardized Workflows
- Refine Assembly Production Sequences for Efficiency
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally for Seamless Handoffs
- Work with the Head of Production to develop Assembly standardized Workflows
Shop Assist

- Perform the duties of a Woodworking CNC tech as needed to balance workflow
- Stand in as a temp Shop Foreman to provide on occasion
- Perform the duties of a Woodworking CNC tech as needed to balance workflow
You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Have hands-on experience in cabinetry, millwork, or fine woodworking
- Have a background in CNC woodworking equipment and specialty tools
- Can read and follow technical drawings with precision
- Understand how to pace your work within a larger team flow
- Have the ability to task and supervise labor
- Have hands-on experience in cabinetry, millwork, or fine woodworking

- Assemblies passing internal quality checks
- Smooth integration with all zones in production (Shop, Materials, Custom Fabrication, Staging, Delivery)
- Smooth integration with all departments (Studio & Install)

Work Environment:

- Majority of your time will be spent in Vonmod’s climate-controlled warehouse
