What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Route Delivery Driver position at Vonmal Services inc?
FedEx Route Delivery Driver (Vonmal service area). VonMal Services Logistics, Inc. is an Independent Service Provider that contracts with FedEx Ground to deliver and pick up packages out of the Dublin, VA FedEx Ground Terminal. We are looking for experienced and qualified drivers to deliver and pick up packages from local businesses and residences. Our starting pay is anywhere from $160 per day depending on experience and the route available. We offer 1 week of Paid Time Off after a year.
Requirements, Minimum Qualifications Driver must: -
- Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, (CDL not required) and a clean driving record (including no cell phone citations or DWI convictions).
- Have 1 year of VERIFIABLE commercial driving experience in the last 3 years OR 5 years in the last 10 years. This experience can be food delivery (Grubhub/Bitesquad/Instacart, pizza delivery etc), lawn maintenance, parts delivery, uber.
- Be able to pass a Motor Vehicle check and have NO speeding ticket in excess of 15 MPH over the posted speed limit.
- Be able to read, speak and write English
- Be able to pass a criminal background check
- Be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical examination
- Be able to complete and pass a road test

The job also requires that candidates:

- Be able to safely lift/carry up to 150 lbs with a hand truck/dolly
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be on site at the terminal on time 9:00AM and ready to work each work day
- Be able to climb stairs
- Be able to work in all types of weather
- Be able to work when it gets dark
- Be able to do a lot of walking at a steady pace
- Be able to adapt to situations to meet customers’ needs
- Know the importance of safety Daily Duties include but not limited to:
- Perform daily Pre & Post inspection on vehicle and submit written report
- Efficiently pack vehicle for deliveries
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with operating officer
- Accurately operate scanner/effectively track delivery process
- Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
- Your truck must be operated safely at all times
