von Briesen & Roper, s.c. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Milwaukee office. This position supports a broad range of day-to-day HR functions, projects and initiatives and serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers across the Firm. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented HR professional who exercises sound judgement, values accuracy and confidentiality, and can independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment: Manage recruitment activities for assigned positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Onboarding: Coordinate new hire onboarding, documentation, orientation activities and related processes.
- Wellness & HR Programming: Support and coordinate Firm wellness initiatives, employee programs and activities, including communications, participation efforts and new initiatives that promote employee well-being and engagement.
- Benefits Administration: Support benefit enrollments and changes, invoice review and reconciliation, and employee benefit questions.
- Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as a resource for employee questions and workplace matters and support employee engagement, culture initiatives and consistent application of Firm policies.
- HRIS & Reporting: Maintain employee records and HRIS data, process employee changes and prepare HR reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least five years of broad Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment-related processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated discretion, sound judgement and ability to handle confidential information.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Collaborative, service-focused approach and ability to build effective relationships with employees and leaders across the Firm.
