Experienced Groomer's Assistant

We are now Hiring Grooming Assistants!

Our busy dog spa, is looking for a friendly and upbeat individual, that is organized and efficient and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Our assistant position includes an advancement opportunity into our paid groomer training program.

Basic Requirements:

• Experience working with pets in a professional setting is required for this position
• 1 years of customer service experience
• Able to work with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Have a friendly and outgoing personality
• Be reliable and have good references
• Ability to lift up to 40LBS, bend, climb and work at a fast pace for extended
• Be able to work as a team
• Be organized and efficient
• Have the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Be teachable and willing to learn our processes

Responsibilities include:

• Washing and drying pets
• Cleaning ears, trimming nails and brushing pets
• Help process the check-in/check-outs
• Assist groomers as needed, with clean up, holding pets, taking pictures of pets for social media
• Answer in-coming phone calls, listen and respond to voicemails, respond to emails- all in a timely, problem-solving manner
• Maintaining tools and product inventory
• Schedule booking ensuring all vaccinations are current and information is properly documented
• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming and bathing areas
• Offer upgrades and sell additional services based on guest wants and needs

Qualifications:

• 1 years in a customer service role (Customer Service, Call Center, Receptionist)
• at least 6 months of experience working with dogs in a vet office, kennel/daycare or grooming facility
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Detailed, but can work with a sense of urgency while providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoys problem solving to provide our guests and customers with a spa experience
• Able to learn to work with and handle a variety of sizes and breeds of dogs
• Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material

Pay range $11-15 depending on experience. Hourly pay based on experience, plus tips.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
