Automotive Technician - Volvo Cars Bend

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm

Compensation: $26 DOE

Qualifications:

• 1 year automotive technician experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive manuals required.
• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs work outlined on RO with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

• Check RO for out time / waiter.

• Check Vehicle for any damage missed by service advisor.

• Install seat cover and steering wheel cover, inspect exterior lighting, wipers, horns, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, leaks, steering.

• Rack the vehicle, perform under vehicle inspection including differential, drive line, brakes, exhaust, shocks, steering, tires, note recommendations on RO.

• Tech turns in RO into advisor before continuing service so recommendations can be presented to customer.

• Perform service and upsells and document all work performed on RO.

• Reset Oil reminder light, fill out lube sticker if applicable.

• Start engine, check for leaks and oil level, stop engine.

• Remove car from rack.

• Road tests vehicles including inventory and client vehicles.

• Restore the vehicle to its original condition, making sure it is clean.

• Inform dispatcher, advisor, team leader or service manager of job completion and make any final notes.
