General Description:
Under general supervision, performs a broad range of responsible administrative support task requiring personal computer, data entry, and general office equipment proficiency. Serves as an assistant to an Elected Official, Section Director, Manager or supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED, AND
- Three (3) years of general clerical/secretarial work experience.
- A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
- May be required to successfully complete and pass required skills testing.
Background Screening: This position will require an extensive background investigation.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains a computerized database including updating, purging records, preparing/formatting reports, and troubleshooting system problems.
- Performs highly specialized assignments using discretion and determining response.
- Performs specialized and technical clerical and record keeping duties.
- Performs research and pulls records to assist supervisor.
- Fields purchase orders, requisitions, travel forms, etc.
- Prepares and complies accounting, statistical tables, reports, for miscellaneous materials.
- Reviews calls and contacts citizens requesting specialized information.
- Screens phone calls and transfers to the correct individual.
- Researches and assembles data for reports.
- Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must adhere to Federal, State, County, and local ordinances.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Environmental Conditions:
- General office setting with most duties being performed while sitting at a desk, table, or workstation.
