General Function:
The LNC Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW) and the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center by overseeing the daily operational functions of the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center (LNC), ensuring operational excellence and creating a welcoming experience for all who walk through our doors. Providing effective supervision of administrative staff, event staff, and seamless coordination of facility rentals and community events. This role serves as the operational anchor of the center — blending hospitality, dignity, and access with supervision, financial tracking, and systems development to ensure that the LNC remains welcoming, efficient, and responsive to community needs. The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Site Director and supervises the administrative staff, event staff, and volunteers.
Principal Activities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center to ensure a welcoming, efficient, and well-managed environment
- Provide consistent Welcome Desk leadership and ensure high-quality customer service during public hours
- Supervise and support the Administrative Assistant, Event Monitors, and volunteers.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of accountability, hospitality, and teamwork
- Oversee the rental and event coordination process from inquiry through completion
- Implement established policies and ensure appropriate staffing and logistical support for events
- Serve as a primary point of contact for rental clients
- Identify opportunities to strengthen workflows, improve efficiency, and support long-term scalability
- Provide operational insights and recommendations to the Site Director

Qualifications:
- High School diploma plus five to seven years previous office and computer experience (or related work) required, AA or BA degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in operations, hospitality, administration, or community-based environments
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliability and stress tolerance required
- Ability to exercise good judgment, be compassionate, confidential, and work with vulnerable & diverse populations
- Ability to work independently
- Competence in MS Office required, especially Word and Excel, any other software expertise is a plus.
