The center serves more than 200 children and families on an annual basis and provides additional support services such as a full-time behavior support, and disability supports for children with special needs.

Classroom Aide - Daycare
JOB SUMMARY
As a Classroom Aide at VOA, you would help to provide for all aspects of care and education in a daycare classroom. Working as a team, Classroom Aides together with Lead and Assistant teachers ensure we are able to meet each child’s individual needs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES
- Assists in providing active, fully engaged supervision of the children at all times.
- Provide coverage in any classroom as needed to maintain ratios.
- Help to meet each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs.
- Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including state child care licensing regulations, accreditation standards and daycare standards.
- Organize and Implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities under the direction of the classroom teacher, reinforcing educational goals, attending to the individual needs of the children.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience with the applicable age range, preferred
- OCFS process includes SEL, SCR, and DCJS fingerprinting
- Knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations strongly desired
