JOB SUMMARY
The program Coordinator is responsible for providing overall management for the Supportive Services of Veteran Families (SSVF) program. These services include outreach and service coordination to Veterans in need of rapid re-housing and homeless prevention. The Program Coordinator will perform in a manner that ensures contractual quality outcomes are achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall management of housing and support services.
- Develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, and modify person–centered housing plans.
- Advocate for needed services including entitlements and benefits for veterans.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators for Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) teams including subcontractors.
- Ensure obligation of tenancy has been met by tracking Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA)
- Manage day-to-day operations of program implementation
- Ensuring referrals and due diligence is provided and documented.
- Monitor and support direct assistance to Veterans and SSVF Staff.
- Assist/train Veterans in daily life skills. Transportation, communication, and self-advocacy.
- Problem-solve conflicts and assist other team members as needed.
- Networking with a wide range of government and private organizations in an effort to eliminate veteran homelessness.
- Visit subcontracts during CARF recertification and site visits as necessary to ensure compliance of program operations.
- Ensure VA calls and UNITY (COC) navigation meeting have all staff present
- Ensure timesheets are complete by staff accurately
- Implement best practices and recommendations identified by the funder.
- Communicate with subcontractors across the State of Louisiana.
- Ensure files and compliance of SSVF requirements per grant are implemented.
- Assist with budgets and VA requirements.
- Communicate with SSVF accounting team members for clarity and financial/program goals.
- Managing staff and budgets, including Temporary Financial Assistance.
- Performs related duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
- All candidates must possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree.
- This position requires the incumbent to have a proven track record in fund development in the human services field, including proactive programming for Veteran families.
- At least one year case management experience working with individuals living in a community and/or independent setting.
- At least 2 years supervisory experience.
- Candidates must have demonstrated a desire to be responsive to the needs of the target population, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team.
