Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our growing team and help launch our new Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic (IBHC).
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new program that brings together substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health services, care coordination, peer support, and whole-person care within a single collaborative setting. As a SUDP, you'll help individuals build healthier futures while shaping a program that increases access to compassionate, person-centered care.

What You'll Do
- Conduct substance use disorder assessments and establish diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
- Support recovery planning, treatment engagement, and relapse prevention.
- Coordinate care with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Connect participants with resources and services that support long-term recovery and stability.
- Maintain timely clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification in good standing.
- Associate degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field.
- Eligibility to provide Medicaid-reimbursable substance use disorder treatment services.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete required background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience in integrated behavioral health settings.
- Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Experience serving underserved or vulnerable populations.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
