This role is a key part of our development efforts—supporting donor communications, event coordination, gift tracking, grant support, and day-to-day activities that help advance VOADV’s mission across Camden County.

Development Clerk

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Development Clerk to support fundraising, donor relations, community outreach, and core administrative operations. This role is a key part of our development efforts—supporting donor communications, event coordination, gift tracking, grant support, and day-to-day activities that help advance VOADV’s mission across Camden County.

What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative support for fundraising and development activities
- Maintain donor databases with accurate gift entry, recordkeeping, and timely updates
- Prepare donor acknowledgments, thank-you letters, and fundraising correspondence
- Support planning and coordination of fundraising events, outreach initiatives, and donor meetings
- Assist with grant preparation, reporting, and document collection
- Track donations, sponsorships, pledges, and fundraising metrics
- Prepare mailing lists, fundraising packets, promotional materials, and event materials
- Coordinate communication with donors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners
- Support social media and outreach efforts tied to fundraising campaigns and events
- Maintain confidentiality of donor and organizational information
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and development materials for leadership and board meetings
- Provide general clerical support (filing, scanning, answering phones, scheduling)
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational development and fundraising goals
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred (nonprofit management, communications, business administration, marketing, or related field)
- 1–2 years of administrative, fundraising, customer service, or nonprofit experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, donor database systems, and basic social media platforms
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to VOADV’s mission and values of community-based social services
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
- Ability to lift over 40 lbs
- Availability for occasional evening/weekend hours and local travel for events/outreach as needed
