Hi, this is Ronnie Holmes owner/partner of Volunteer Paint and Decorating at 118 South Spring Street right here in Manchester. We have operated our Paint Store out of this location since May of 1989.
If we continue to receive the Lords blessing, we plan to build a new paint store on our vacant lot located to the left of J&G Pizza on Hwy 55. We will need more people when we open our new store, but for now we only need one more special person to help us at our current location.
Amy Lawson is our store manager and has been since March 15th of 2017. Amy has people skills, she is an honest and trustworthy person, Amy knows Farrell Calhoun Paints very well and is good at matching colors... Sharon and I, along with all the other employees of our contracting business love Amy. Amy is a sweet and compassionate little lady that deals with reality. She is also a tough little woman that handles those 5 gallon bucks just fine, and any ornery customer that may occasionally come in and bless us with their presence.
We are looking for another person similar to Amy, maybe that’s you! You don’t have to be a paint specialist for between Amy and myself, we will be eager to train you, if you are eager to learn!
You will need to be a strong and healthy person for we want you to know for certain, we are not looking for a short term working relationship, but long term.
We will work with your schedule and treat you with respect. We believe in telling the truth and doing what's right, and cherish the opportunity to work with people who believe and practice the same.
The skill set you will need to possess is: a Natural People Person, have Common Sense, be a Good Listener, be a Good Communicator, have Excellent "Simple Math" Skills, be a Quick Learner and not a "Know it All". Also, as for physical requirements, you will need to be able to pick up 5 gallon buckets of paint, and move them to the tint matching , then to the shaker and then to the floor. On average a 5 gallon bucket of paint weighs 55 lbs.
If you have some basic construction knowledge, and If you speak Spanish along with English, these would be an added benefit… You will need to have a valid Drivers Licenses, reliable transportation and a good background report and pass a standard drug test.
