Shift Hours - 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Client Assistants (PRN) to support clients in a 24/7 behavioral health treatment environment. This role provides supervision, structure, and support to ensure safety and promote client well-being. You will work closely with nursing staff, assist with daily living needs, and help maintain a calm, therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with clients, visitors, and providers in a professional, welcoming manner.
- Maintain professional boundaries; never share personal or identifying information.
- Report changes in client behavior or physical condition to nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with vital signs, medication pass, UDS/breathalyzer, and admission searches.
- Conduct room checks, safety checks, client supervision checks, and documentation.
- Support clients with daily living skills and encourage participation in routines.
- Use de-escalation techniques and follow crisis response procedures when needed.
- Help with housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, trash removal, and meal prep.
- Transport clients to appointments and activities as assigned.
- Prepare rooms for new clients, including cleaning and organizing.
- Cover the front desk, answer phones, and provide clerical support as needed.
- Submit end-of-shift email reports and checklists to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a behavioral health or mental health setting preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis-response skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision
