What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sit down Forklift Operator position at Voluntary Purchasing Groups, Inc.?
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
· Strict adherence to all Safety Procedures
· Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and pulling orders for shipments
· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bin locations according to organizational standards
· Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations; Sweep, Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
· Process shipments into operator scan gun system.
· Performs the final quality check for labels and packaging on finished product.
· Load, adjust and operate shrink-wrap and banding machine.
· Wear the proper safety equipment at all time
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Read and understand written instructions.
· Complete system transactions with a high level of accuracy.
· Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
· Experience with Reach truck, Forklift
· Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
· High school diploma or equivalent.
