Cath Lab Registered Nurse

POSITION :: RN Cath Lab
LOCATION :: 100 Madison Ave, Morristown, NJ 07960
SHIFT :: 7am - 5pm
CONTRACT :: 13 weeks

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress toward meeting outcomes in the patient's chart including patient education.
• Consistently responds to patient's/families and co-workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner to promotes an environment where the patient and family is at the center and the patient care team works cooperatively toward their goal and objectives. Maintains confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines.
• Consistently follows the National Patient Safety Goals including following Universal Protocol and identifying patient's utilizing 2 patient identifiers
• Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patient's.
• Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.
• n. Assesses patient's understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• Active RN License for the state of NJ or Compact
• Current BLS and ACLS Certificates

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
